We're Cumbaya, the AI-powered travel platform of the future, and we're looking for a full-time software & AI engineer to join our start-up in Leuven.

You'll work directly with our technical team of 5 passionate engineers to build the "brain" of our world-class product. If you have a Master's in Computer Science, a couple years of experience, and an ambitious mindset, this is your chance to build big and move fast.

Cumbaya is the AI-powered Travel Platform of the future. We are a travel platform that generates personalized, feasible itineraries in seconds. We integrate real-time availability & pricing of flights, accommodation, activities, and more into a single, user-friendly plan. We solve complex travel logistics to make travel accessible and meaningful. We are a start-up located in Leuven founded by 3 co-founders and are now a team of 7.

🚀 The Role

Join our technical team of 5 passionate engineers. This high-impact role combines backend engineering (Golang) and advanced AI development (Python). You will contribute to our microservice architecture, cloud infrastructure, and the sophisticated AI logic that makes our itineraries personal & feasible.

🛠️ What You'll Do

• Design, build, and scale backend microservices in Golang.

• Enhance our multi-agent Python AI framework.

• (Optional) Manage and optimize Google Cloud Infrastructure with Terraform.

• (Optional) Extend our analytical BigQuery data platform.

🧠 What We're Looking For

Required:

• Master in Computer Science.

• 2 to 8 Years Experience.

• Strong Python knowledge.

• Eagerness to master Golang.

• Experience with LLMs.

• Demonstrable passion for software, AI, & travel.

• Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude.

• Solid grasp of software architecture, backend systems, APIs, and databases.

Nice to have:

• Experience with multi-agent AI frameworks.

• Experience with Terraform.

• Experience with DevOps & CI/CD

• Experience with our stack: Google Cloud, microservices, gRPC, PostgreSQL, BigQuery, …
